Technology for Living (TFL) is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, performance-driven, team-focused, and compassionate individual to apply their respiratory therapy expertise, along with strong intellectual, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, to support daily operations and services for PROP members.
This is a full-time, permanent position at 37.5 hours per week, typically scheduled Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Flexibility is required to attend scheduled meetings and events outside regular hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. Workload may fluctuate, and additional hours may be required from time to time to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
The position is expected to begin in September 2026.
THE ORGANIZATION:
Technology for Living (TFL) is a non-profit, social-purpose organization that has supported people with disabilities in British Columbia for over 50 years. TFL helps people with physical disabilities live independently at home by providing, installing, and servicing assistive technology and home automation. This work is delivered through three member-centred programs: The Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program (PROP), Technology for Independent Living (TIL), and the Peer Support Program.
THE POSITION:
Utilizing a broad knowledge of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) standards of practice and clinical practice guidelines, The PROP Charge RT is responsible for overseeing the PROP staff to efficiently maintain and provide the highest standard of respiratory care to the members and their families within the communities in BC, as mandated by Technology for Living services. The PROP Charge RT supervises and allocates available resources for the programs within budget. An integral part of this role is to work in collaboration with the PROP Leadership Team (PPL, Senior RT, ED and Program Lead) to support existing organizational and community activities as it relates to the PROP program & Technology for Living; and to be involved in planning and implementing new initiatives that are in support of and will meet Technology for Livings mission, vision and goals.
COMPENSATION:
CDN $40.93 – 51.81 per hour

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Graduation from an accredited national Respiratory Therapy Program.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) credentialing exam.
- Qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with an accredited national body and registration in the provincial RRT body of Canada
- Five years’ experience serving patients as a qualified RRT
- Broad knowledge of current respiratory theory and practice, particularly in a home setting
- Advanced working knowledge of computer application programs, including Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Databases (Access).
- Ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.
- Demonstrates confident and solid verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to interact/communicate effectively with co-workers, members, caregivers, and other professionals in a respectful, courteous and empathetic manner.
- Ability to think analytically and use sound judgment.
- Ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.
- Experience in a non-profit organization is a strong asset
- Valid BC driver’s license (class 5)
- Must be legally qualified to work in Canada.
- Successful applicants must pass BC Criminal Records Check.
