Hello Peers!

We’re looking for peers to work with student teams on projects for this year’s Simon Cox Student Design Competition. Students already have their project ideas underway and are developing creative, innovative solutions to everyday disability barriers. Your role is to provide guidance, lived experience, and practical insight to help strengthen their work.

Peers are compensated $25 per hour for their time, and many find it to be a thought-provoking and rewarding experience. The Simon Cox Student Design Competition takes place on April 25, 2026, and student teams need your support now as they prepare for competition day!

She will guide us through the step by step process she followed, from planning and decision making to working with contractors, and highlight grants and funding options that may be available to support accessible home modifications.
