At 6.00pm on Tuesday 25th September BCITS will have its thirteenth annual general meeting (AGM) at Performance Works, Granville Island, click here for more details. The AGM is an opportunity for you the service recipients and membership of BCITS to direct your organisation. It is through participation at the AGM that members get to have their say on the organisation’s future strategy and direction. The AGM is a time to hear about the work of the board over the past year and to participate in the BCITS board elections. The board members you select will carry the vision and strategy of the organisation into the next year. Here you will find the agenda and financial papers for this year’s AGM.
The AGM is also an occasion to meet other service users who live with a disability. This year after the BCITS AGM at 6.30pm we will kick off the ‘Pathway to Independence Social’ introduced by group facilitator, Paul Gauthier. Paul will give details of the success of the Pathways to Independence peer group meetings as well as talk about the future of the group meetings. The ‘Pathway to Independence Social’ will run from 6.30pm-9.00pm with fantastic door prizes, canapés & snacks, wine, beer & soft drinks, a photo booth and the Fuse Wheelchair Dance Society demonstrating wheelchair dancing. If you are interested in socialising and enjoying an evening with like-minded people please RSVP via our contact form to reserve your spot at the social.
